As often as the next task is what I was told. When you are preparing a meal and cutting chicken, vegetables, fish, and other items with one knife, you should clean it each time you cut the next item.
This is a tough question for me because I love wearing shorts. However, when I go hiking or camping, I never wear shorts. The quick answer to the question would be that I do not recommend shorts for survival.
There are many options like a campfire, a charcoal grill, outdoor propane grill. However, I have been eating a variety of food that requires a butane stove. In Nepal, when I was up in elevation at base camp, we used butane stoves to cook soups and hot pots.
There are channels you should program in your radio for emergencies. I have only used them a few times, but it comes in handy.
There is a full tang knife, a folding knife, and a multitool knife in general. But if I can only carry one, I would carry a full tang knife.
Street clothes. Make sure they are comfortable for the long journey. You want to be inconspicuous, so you don’t look like the guy with a lot of useful items.
9mm Luger (9x19mm Parabellum). Most times I have encountered a handgun, it is a 9mm pistol. This caliber is very popular among all the gun manufacturers. I can hear some of the gun aficionados saying that there are better calibers out there, but go to any gun range, most guns on the stations are 9mm pistols.
If possible, yes. If I am camping and procuring questionable water for drinking, the first thing I do is boil the water to a rolling boil for at least 2 minutes. Let the water cool, then begin taking a sip with a personal water filter
Interesting question for a survival site, but your teeth are critical to your survival as you will need them to chew on food.
